The Chia Offer File Contest

Chia Offer Files rank highly in what sets the Chia Blockchain apart from others. When it comes to peer-to-peer trading, there is just nothing like it. In a nutshell, Chia Offer Files allows for two parties to trustlessly swap any type of combination or mix of assets such as XCH, Chia Asset Tokens (CATs), and NFTs. No counterparty risk, no middleman, no broker, all natively on the Chia blockchain with a string of text. Though if you are reading this, you most likely already know about the power of Offer Files but if you are interested to learn more, you can take a look at this high level summary here, or more in depth documentation here.

Now let’s get to what you all came here for. The Chia Offer File Contest! 

The goal of this competition is to spark creativity, innovation, and push the boundaries on how you can share an Offer File.

Rules

The criteria of this contest are simple: 

• Create and share a valid Offer File before March 31, 2024.
• Comment on this post or on this X thread to submit your entry. For unorthodox submissions, you can reach out to me directly.

There are a handful of categories that you can win in. The entirety of the prize pool will be split amongst winners in the following categories:

• Most creative Offer File
• Most technically impressive Offer File
• Most difficult Offer File to decipher
• Sexiest Offer File
• Offer File with the widest reach

The contest will be judged by a panel, including:

Inspiration and Examples

This idea first came to me when remembering the time when the CEO of Chia Network Inc., Gene Hoffman, filed comments on the SEC’s Amendments Regarding the Definition of “Exchange” that you can see below.

We also saw a few creative examples of Offer Files recently including the first delivered and accepted Offer File via Morse Code… and flag semaphores… and American Sign Language.
